iPod Obsessions: April 2011

  • “Just Me Before We Met” and “Life Is Life” by Noah & The Whale - This album has grown on me just since I reviewed it a month ago.
  • “Subliminal,” “Snail Shell” and “Sleeping In The Flowers” by They Might Be Giants - I realized I hadn't listened to TMBG in quite awhile and blasted through about 3 albums one day.
  • “Mothers Talk” by Tears For Fears - What can I say? I had an '80s moment...
  • “Hunger Strike” by Temple Of The Dog
  • “Humdrum” and “Slowburn” by Peter Gabriel - These are a couple of lesser known songs off his first solo album.
  • “Cannibal Courtship” and “Uku” by Dengue Fever - Interesting album!
  • “Second Song” and “Keep Your Heart” by TV On the Radio - Slightly disappointing album but these are two tracks I'm really enjoying...
  • “Our Life Is Not a Movie or Maybe” by Okkervil River
  • “Getting Ready for Christmas Day” by Paul Simon - This just came out a week or two ago and I haven't reviewed it yet but this song really stands out. It combines his song with a recording of a minister from many years ago.
  • “No Harm” by The Boxer Rebellion
  • “Damn These Vampires” by The Mountain Goats
  • “Recharge & Revolt” by The Raveonettes
  • “Little River” by The Tallest Man On Earth
  • “Belong” by The Pains of Being Pure At Heart
  • “Dig a Little Deeper” and “Tomorrow Has to Wait” by Peter Bjorn and John - Can't help dancing!
  • “Surfer's Hymn” by Panda Bear
  • “Old Old Fashioned” and “Keep Yourself Warm” by Frightened Rabbit
