Very excited to give an official review to this awesome new local brewery!
Appearance: Beautiful tan head with ruby highlights; approaching black in color with ruby highlights; a beautiful pour!
Aroma: Slightly burnt caramel with hints of chocolate and a suggestion of citrusy hops
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied and surprisingly light on the palate. Goes down very smoothly!
Taste: Complex and full. A hint of bitterness balances the sweetness of the malt and particularly the addition of chocolate. The addition of cacao nibs isn’t obvious, suggesting that they’ve added just the right amount and that it is, in fact, a great additive. (Gasp! I don’t normally allow anything extra in my beer!)
Drinkability: Burp…. Bartender, could I have another?
